RootDown is a wonderful NEW food truck from the Lake Norman area that will be serving up fresh and delicious Creole, Southern, Soul, and Street Food.

Menu items include: Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, Pulled Pork and Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, Po’Boy Sandwiches, Pralines and many other delicious choices. Food Prices range from $1 for an authentic Praline to $8 for a huge Pulled Pork and Pimento Sandwich. Root Down’s food pairs wonderfully with Laurel Gray’s Dry Rose’ and NEW RELEASE UnOaked Chardonnay. Plan to eat lunch at Laurel Gray while relaxing with a glass of award winning estate wine.

Come for lunch and plan to stay all afternoon. This is peak season for our 73 Jackson Perkins Tea Roses along with our fragrant herb gardens, so enjoy a glass of wine and treat yourself to the fragrance of Laurel Gray. Let summer begin!!

It is time for bud break and a very exciting phase in the life of the vineyard. During the winter our exposed vines sleep, but their roots continue to grow and store nourishment for the spring push. Every season has its unique elements in the vineyard, and this weekend we invite you join us in celebrating the beauty of new spring life. FREE educational vineyard tours will be given by owner Ben and Kim Myers, at 11am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm and 3:30pm. Tastings and glasses of wine will be discount priced at $5.

In keeping with our theme of celebrating nature, a wonderful NEW food truck, RootDown, from the Lake Norman area will be onsite from 11am until 3pm serving up  fresh and delicious Creole, Southern, and Soul Food.

Menu items include:Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, Shrimp Remoulade, Pulled Pork and Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, Bread Pudding and Pralines along with many other delicious choices.

April 5, 6 and 7 - Spring Herb Festival

Visit each of the Swan Creek Vineyards tasting room and sample an appetizer, or dessert prepared with a vineyard specific herb along with a 2 oz. pour of delicious wine, and receive a 4” potted herb. One ticket entitles holder two samples of food and wine and one potted herb from each vineyard. Tickets available from any Swan Creek Wine Trail Vineyards for the price of $25. Our most popular event, these limited tickets sell out quickly so call ASAP to get yours! Participating wineries include: Laurel Gray, Raffaldini, Dobbins Creek, Shadow Springs and Windsor Run.

Along with wine release at Laurel Gray Vineyards

Another annual event from the Vineyards of Swan Creek Wine Trail. Visit each tasting room and enjoy a FREE sample of award winning wine paired with a delicious local cheese from Ashe County Cheese in Jefferson, NC.

Laurel Gray will premier our first offering of an unoaked Chardonnay for this event. Delightfully clean and refreshing with flavors of green apple, lemon, and juicy fresh pear. We have selected Ashe County Cheese Mountain Sharp Cheddar to pair with this new 2011 Chardonnay.

Participating wineries include: Laurel Gray, Raffaldini, Dobbins Creek, Shadow Springs and Windsor Run. A great way to get out of the house and enjoy our scenic Swan Creek AVA countryside and sample the newest wine from Laurel Gray.
